CLIPDING / Terms of use

Terms of use

Product capabilities, release readiness and the boundaries of use.

Effective and updated: October 19, 2026

1. Scope and contact

These terms cover the ClipDing website and current desktop apps. Read them and the privacy policy before downloading, installing or using the software; stop using it if you disagree. Contact the developer using the support email below. Browsing alone does not replace specific consent required by applicable law.

2. Capabilities and limits

ClipDing provides visual feedback for copy, cut, paste and clipboard changes. Feedback depends on operating-system events and format metadata and may be missed, delayed or incorrectly associated. “Paste detected” does not prove insertion; “Cut content ready” does not prove source deletion; “Copied” does not verify clipboard content. Independently check important edits, file moves and sensitive operations.

3. Versions and compatibility

The website currently describes a development preview. The macOS build targets macOS 14+ on Apple Silicon; public-distribution signing and notarization are incomplete. Windows 0.6.1 is an unsigned preview for Windows 11 x64/ARM64 and has not completed native runtime acceptance. No official installer download is currently offered here. Remapped shortcuts, permissions, secure input, elevated windows, full-screen modes, remote desktops and system updates may affect behavior. Universal compatibility is not guaranteed.

4. License and intellectual property

Unless a separate license states otherwise, the developer retains relevant rights to the ClipDing name, original software and website materials. Lawfully obtained builds may be used for personal or internal evaluation as described in their included instructions. These terms do not grant redistribution, resale, brand impersonation or sublicensing rights. Do not attack, abuse or unlawfully use the site. Statutory exceptions and third-party component licenses remain applicable. Website publication does not grant an open-source license to unpublished source code.

5. Fees and transactions

This website currently has no accounts, checkout, subscriptions or payment collection, and browsing incurs no charge from us. Future paid versions will explain pricing, licensing, renewals and refunds before purchase. This page does not promise that all future versions will remain free.

6. Your choices

Obtain software only from developer-designated sources and check system requirements and version status. Understand Input Monitoring and login startup before enabling them. You can pause, quit, uninstall or revoke permissions. Maintain device security and backups, and check the actual outcome in other applications. Avoid unnecessary sensitive information in feedback.

7. Preview quality and liability

To the extent permitted by law, previews and the website are provided as available without guarantees of uninterrupted service, defect-free operation, fitness for a particular purpose or data integrity. Feedback informs improvements but does not guarantee a release date. Where legally excludable, the developer is not responsible for indirect losses, business interruption or lost expected profits. Nothing excludes fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, non-excludable personal-injury liability or mandatory consumer rights.

8. Providers and changes

The website uses Cloudflare infrastructure and support uses Gmail, subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Features, availability and terms may change, with dates updated and material changes appropriately communicated. You may stop using the service and contact support. Please first try resolving disputes through the support email; these terms do not impose exclusive jurisdiction or waive remedies available under applicable law.
